CPD Rev is back and bigger than ever before. Throughout the day you’ll take part in eight assistive technology (AT) workshops. 

Throughout the day you’ll visit four AT zones.
Each zone contains two AT partners
You’ll visit each AT zone for 45 minutes.
During that time you’ll take part in a 30 minute workshop.
You will then take part in a 15 minute workshop.
You choose which 30 minute workshop you attend and which 15 minute workshop you attend.

Repeat the above three more times and you've completed CPD Rev 2024

30 minute workshop – Think you know Learning Labs? Think again. We’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes, soaking up your feedback and diving into accessibility audit results to improve the user journey and accessibility of Learning Labs. 

Join Richard and Rachel as they take a deep dive into the lineup of new features that have recently been added to Learning Labs. They’ll also give you a sneak peak at some features that are still in the testing process. With all the new features we’ll be exploring, this workshop is perfect whether you’re a newcome to Learning Labs or have been using it for the past decade.  

15 minute workshop – We know being exposed to different ways of learning can help imprint new information on your mind. 

That’s why each Lab suite in Learning Labs is like a buffet of knowledge, offering you not one, not two, but four different styles to feast on: Read, Watch, Do, and Quiz. 

In this interactive session, join the dynamic duo – Richard and Rachel – as they unravel the secrets behind each Lab style. Ever wondered why we chose these styles? Curious about the magic that makes them accessible to everyone? Well, buckle up because you’re not just hearing about it – you’re diving in! You’ll round the session off by taking part in your very own Quiz Lab.

30 minute workshop – This workshop will look at the theory of mindmapping and how it develops creativity and motivation. It will illustrate how using a digital tool like Ayoa supports students with short term memory, focus and concentration, anxiety, social interaction, blank page syndrome and much more all in a modern user interface. We will also explain how Ayoa can be recommended through funding streams such as DSA and Access to Work, as well as how it benefits users in universities and the workplace.

15 minute workshop – This workshop will be a live demonstration of just some of the features within Ayoa – mindmapping, integrated task management, collaboration and AI support. Ayoa works across all devices and supports students with short term memory, focus & concentration, anxiety, social interaction, blank page syndrome and much more all in a modern user interface. If you have not seen Ayoa before, this is a session not to be missed.

30 minute workshop – Attendees will discover how Luna is making learning easier for all, turning any content into digital flashcards through the simplest of processes. With an interface designed to be accessible, Luna removes the typical barriers to learning faced by many students with a range of conditions. Moreover, the combination of cutting-edge AI and time-tested learning theories creates a smooth learning process, with optimised review schedules to ensure students learn what they need and when it’s needed. You can expect to see the end-to-end process of how Luna supports students through the most important thing: learning.

15 minute workshop – Through a quick overview of Booost, attendees can expect to see how it can help students manage their time and prioritise their wellbeing. Designed to foster independence, students using Booost’s calendar and task management will build the skills to manage their time independently whilst having access to wellbeing support when things get tough. Every feature of Booost was built with accessibility in mind, and it offers tailored support to a range of conditions. Attendees will learn how Booost can be such an asset in the day-to-day lives of students.

Learn more about our dedicated coaches -who will help students develop self-awareness and build greater independence and how ongoing coaching helps to maintain students’ motivation and learn how to prevent escalation in anxiety. Discover more about our in-the-moment human support plus our digital tools and app that is designed to be individualised to each student’s needs. Brain in Hand can be funded by DSA or can be purchased directly. Bulk licenses are available for Universities and Colleges.

30 minute workshop –CareScribe will be presenting Caption.Ed, a live-captioning, transcription, and note-taking software. As well as TalkType, a highly accurate, multi-platform dictation software. Workshop attendees will get an easy-to-digest and interactive session showcasing all of the newest developments and essential updates in the software. Furthermore, you’ll also get a free demo license to try out the software for yourself! You will also receive a CPD certification to keep on file.

15 minute workshop – In this 15-minute workshop, Stefano and Elza will demonstrate the newest developments in CareScribe’s industry-leading software, Caption.Ed and TalkType – meaning there will be lots of exciting things to look forward to. As well as demonstrations, they will also be able to book you in for further 121 sessions, enabling you to gain an in-depth understanding of both products, ask any questions you may have and try the software firsthand.

30 minute workshop – Glean’s personal study app ensures learners don’t waste information that matters.

In this quickfire session, we’ll cover the essential features in Glean, so you learn everything you need to know to get started with Glean.

You will learn how Glean can be used to:

  • Record in-person lectures
  • Follow a lecture with live captions
  • Transcribe audio recordings
  • Record on the Glean mobile app
  • Review, refine & enrich your notes
  • Read and export your notes

Creating a complete set of multimedia notes in the process!

15 minute workshop –In this short taster session we will look through some of the recent feature updates within Glean. We will cover new features such as importing audio, card groups, a host of new features within the mobile app and the latest addition: Live Captions!

Present Pal

30 minute workshop – Flashcards just got smarter. We understand the struggles of condensing cluttered thoughts into clear and concise messages while battling presentation anxiety. That’s why Present Pal is excited to unveil Smart Flashcard Creation. 

 In this interactive workshop, attendees will experience the magic of Present Pal V6 firsthand. Attendees will explore how the Present Pal app and Smart Flashcard Creation supports neurodivergent learners to overcome their presentation challenges and achieve their presentation goals. But that’s not all, this new feature isn’t the only surprise we have in store! So make sure to come and long and find out more.
